Spiced Apple Chutney Sauce for Pork Loin or Pork Chop

Julienne red onions

5 ea

 

Medium sized apples

2 TBLSP

Sugar in the raw or brown sugar

1/2 cup

 

Apple, orange, or mango jelly/preserve

3/4 cup

 

Balsamic vinegar

Nutmeg

 

1/2 tea

All spice

 

1/2 tea

Cinnamon

1/2 tea

1/2 TBL

 

S & P

1 1/2 TBL

Dijon mustard

In a large sauté pan, sauté onions on medium heat until slightly translucent. Add sliced apples and sugar and continue to sauté. Deglaze with balsamic vinegar as soon as apples soften. Add remaining ingredients and stew on low to medium heat until consistency thickens. 20-30 minutes approximately.
